ABOUT ME
I graduated in 2009 from Hiland High School in Berlin, Ohio. Following high school I joined the Ohio Air National Guard and attended The Ohio State University where I received a BA in social studies as well as my M.Ed. I love sports, music, traveling, friends, and of course my big family.
TEACHING PHILOSOPHY
WHAT I DO
My philosophy is that students do not retain knowledge by merely listening to me, but by exploring the content with their own thoughts. My classroom is set up for open discussion and class collaboration to support this philosophy. I also believe that by incorporating my students’ interests into my daily lessons, history can be an exciting subject to learn.
I am a Social Studies teacher at New London High School as well as the boys and girls varsity sprinters and long jumpers coach for the track and field team. I am dedicated to both positions, and I look forward to another great school year in New London!
